CHAPTER 8 6
1 And Noah and his sons hearkened unto the Lord, and gave heed; and they were called the sons of God.
2 1–2 Andit came to pass when these men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God men saw that the their daughters of men that they were fair, and they took them wives of all which even as they chose.
3 And the Lord said unto Noah, The daughters of thy sons have sold themselves, for behold, mine anger is kindled against the sons of men, for they will not hearken to my voice.
4 And it came to pass, that Noah prophesied, and taught the things of God, even as it was in the beginning.
5 3 And the LORD said unto Noah, My Spirit shall not always strive with man, forthat he also is shall know that all flesh shall die, yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years; and if men do not repent, I will send in the floods upon them.
6 4 And in those days there were giantsin on the earth in those days, and they sought Noah to take away his life;
7 But the Lord was with Noah, and the power of the Lord was upon him; and the Lord ordained Noah after his own order, and commanded him that he should go forth and declare his gospel unto the children of men, even as it was given unto Enoch.
8 And it came to pass that Noah called upon the children of men, that they should repent, but they hearkened not unto his words.
9 4 And also, after thatwhen they had heard him, they came up before him, saying, Behold, we are the sons of God; have we not came in taken unto ourselves the daughters of men? and are we not eating and drinking, and marrying and given in marriage? and they our wives bare bear unto us children to them, and the same became are mighty men, which were are like unto them of old, men of great renown. And they hearkened not unto the words of Noah.
10 5 And God saw that the wickedness of manwas had become great in the earth; and that every man was lifted up in the imagination of the thoughts of his heart was; being only evil continually.
11 And it came to pass, that Noah continued his preaching unto the people, saying, Hearken and give heed unto my words, believe and repent of your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, even as our fathers did, and ye shall receive the Holy Ghost, that ye may have all things made manifest;
12 And if you do not this, the floods will come in upon you; nevertheless, they hearkened not.
13 6 And it repentedthe LORD Noah, and his heart was pained, that he the Lord had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
14 7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created, from the face of the earth, both man and beast, and the creepingthing things, and the fowls of the air;
15 7 For it repentethme Noah that I have created them, and that I have made them; and he hath called upon me, for they have sought his life.
16 8–10But And thus Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD; These are the generations of Noah for Noah was a just man, and perfect in his generations generation; and Noah he walked with God, and Noah begat also his three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
17 11–12 The earthalso was corrupt before God; and the earth it was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted his its way upon the earth.
18 13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violencethrough them, and behold, I will destroy them with all flesh from off the earth.
19 14 Make thee therefore, an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and thou shalt pitch it within and without with pitch;
20 15 Andthis is the fashion which thou shalt make it of the length of the ark shall be thou shalt make three hundred cubits; the breadth of it fifty cubits; and the height of it thirty cubits.
21 16A And window windows shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories chambers shalt thou make in it.
22 17 And behold, I, even Ido will bring in a flood of waters water upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and everything that is in liveth on the earth shall die.
23 18 But with thee will I establish my covenant, even as I have sworn unto thy father Enoch, that of thy posterity shall come all nations.
24 18 And thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.
25 19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of everysort kind shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
26 20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind; two of everysort kind shall come unto thee shalt thou take into the ark, to keep them alive.
27 21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gatherit fruit of every kind to unto thee in the ark, and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.
